Scammers Are Everywhere, and This Year They're More Rampant 😶‍🌫️ | A Side Story

I primarily provide UK work visa sponsorship services and currently have some 🇬🇧 work visa sponsorship quotas available. This is just one part of my business offerings. Recently, someone with an IP address showing as Hong Kong reached out to me, expressing interest in obtaining UK permanent residency through a work visa sponsorship. He asked for my WhatsApp contact to further discuss the details. During our conversations, he mentioned having a significant amount of funds—“tens of millions”—that he needed to transfer. He also shared his bank account information, transaction records, identification details, and a TRC20 blockchain address. However, over the next few days, every time he attempted to transfer funds to me, the transactions never went through. Eventually, he requested my help to exchange cryptocurrency. At this point, I became suspicious and decided to look into the transaction records on his TRC20 blockchain address (see Attachment 2). I noticed one large deposit and two outgoing transactions of equal value to the deposit, which seemed rather unusual. While I cannot yet confirm if he is a scammer, I am proceeding with caution and hope to verify this in the future. Out of curiosity, I searched for similar cases on Xiaohongshu today and found only one note discussing such scams. It appears this method is not very common, but I hope my experience can serve as a warning to others.
